Rob and Kathy Johnson
Equipping Servants to Disciple the Nations
Rob and Kathy have been serving as missionaries and teachers in South Texas and Mexico for forty years. For many years, Rob served as the main teacher in the Bible Training Center (BTC) located in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, MX. Ten years ago, they relocated to central Mexico, in León, Gunajuato, and used this central location to travel extensively throughout the entire country, from the southern states of Chiapas and Oaxaca, to the northern states of Tamaulipas and Nuevo León.
Rob and Kathy live in León, Guanajuato, near the geographical center of the country. The six-state region surrounding Guanajuato is the least-reached area of the country, and probably all of Latin America. In the state of Jalisco, just west of Guanajuato, over 50 counties have 1% or fewer Evangelicals. Rob desires to mobilize prayer and equip workers for this great harvest, and the less-reached places in the world.
Kathy serves in their local church on the worship team and has numerous contacts in the city through her activity in chamber music and art. She is a member of the Mexican Watercolourist Association.
Their children have spread out throughout the U.S. and south to Guatemala, so this merely extends their travels a bit further north and south in order to see their ten grandchildren.
